Midwest Chicken Madras Curry

  • In your crate

    Jar of sauce

Jar of Chicken or Kidney Beans

    Jar of Vegetables

    Rice

  • Recommended cooking utensils

    Large pot or large saucepan

    Stirring spoon

Measuring cups (to add water if needed)

Instructions

  1. Rinse rice and add to a medium saucepan. Add water (1 cup rice = 1 cup water). Bring the mixture to a boil over medium-high heat, uncovered. As the water begins to boil, reduce heat and cover. Cook until the rice is tender.

  2. Sauté the vegetable mix on medium heat for about five to ten minutes until the carrots are soft.

  3. Add the sauce and stir well. Add water if needed. It should be the consistency of pasta sauce.

  4. Add your chicken or kidney beans and mix. Keep warm on low heat, stirring occasionally so that the sauce does not burn.

  5. Enjoy the curry over the rice or mixed together, and add salt to taste!
