Veggie Pizza

  • In your crate

    Pizza dough

    Tomato sauce

    Cheese or vegan cheese

    Pre-chopped veggies

  • Recommended cooking utensils

    Baking sheet

    Rolling pin

A spoon to spread the sauce (use the bottom of the spoon)

Either a knife or a pizza cutter to slice the pizza

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 450°F. Then heat a drizzle of olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add vegetables and sauté for about 3-5 minutes.

  2. While the veggies are cooking, roll out the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface with a lightly floured rolling pin. If the dough shrinks back as you try to stretch it, it may be too cold and you may need to let it sit another 5-10 minutes. Once shaped into a circle, pinch the edges up to create the crust.

  3. Transfer the rolled dough to a baking sheet. Then spread a thin layer of pizza sauce over the dough.

  4. Add the cooked vegetables and cheese to the pizza.

  5. Bake for 10–15 minutes or until the crust is golden brown. If you have a single serving, it might cook in less than 10 minutes, check it around 7 minutes to see if it needs more time. If you have more than four servings it may be a little longer than 15 minutes unless you make smaller pizzas.

  6. Once the crust is golden brown, remove it from the oven, and enjoy!
