  • ½ cup stale bread, cubed
    ½ egg (beaten)
    ¼ cup milk or broth
    2 tbsp onion, chopped
    ¼ cup peppers or greens, chopped
    2 tbsp cooked meat or cheese (optional)
    Herbs/spices, to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pot over medium heat. Add onion, garlic, and peppers; sauté 3–4 minutes.

  2. Stir in tomatoes, beans, stock, and shredded chicken.

  3. Season with cumin, chili powder, or cayenne.

  4. Simmer for 20 minutes, then serve hot with tortilla chips.
