Meatballs & Red Sauce

Ingredients

  • 2–3 oz ground meat (pork or beef)
    2 tbsp breadcrumbs
    2 tbsp onion, finely diced
    1 clove garlic, minced
    ¼ egg (beaten)
    ½ cup tomato (fresh or canned)
    1 cup cooked spaghetti
    Salt and herbs, to taste

  • 8–12 oz ground meat (pork or beef)
    ½ cup breadcrumbs
    ½ cup onion, finely diced
    4 cloves garlic, minced
    1 egg (beaten)
    2 cups tomato (fresh or canned)
    4 cups cooked spaghetti
    Salt and herbs, to taste

  • Mixing bowl
    Baking sheet or skillet
    Pot
    Spoon
    Cutting board
    Knife

Nutrition Facts
  1. Preheat oven to 375°F. Mix meat, breadcrumbs, onion, garlic, and egg in a bowl.

  2. Shape into small balls (about 1–2 inches). Place on a greased baking sheet.

  3. Bake for 20 minutes, or pan-fry until browned and cooked through (165°F inside).

  4. Simmer in tomato sauce for 10 minutes and serve over cooked spaghetti.
