Moroccan Chicken

    Rice

    Jar of cooked chicken (chickpeas for Veg)

    Jar of diced onions and carrots

    Dressing (lemon juice, honey, cilantro)

    Sauce mix (ginger, garlic, cumin, coriander, paprika, cinnamon, lemon zest and gluten-free flour)

Instructions

  1. Rinse rice and add to a medium saucepan. Add water (1 cup rice = 1 cup water). Bring the mixture to a boil over medium-high heat, uncovered. As the water begins to boil, reduce heat and cover. Cook until the rice is tender.

  2. Heat oil in a pan. Add diced onions and carrots, and sauté until golden brown.

  3. Add the sauce blend. Mix well. Add one cup of water per serving. Cook for 5-7 minutes till carrots are tender. Add water if needed. 

  4. Add chicken, mix well and cook for another 2-3 minutes. Add salt to taste.

  5. Add dressing and mix well.

  6. Serve chicken tagine on rice and enjoy!
