Wild Rice Hotdish

Ingredients

Ground meat (beef, pork, lamb)

Wild rice

Onion

Carrot

Cabbage/Kale

Garlic

  •  ¼ cup wild rice, uncooked
    4 oz ground pork
    ¼ onion, chopped
    ½ carrot, chopped
    ½ cup cabbage or kale, shredded
    ½ clove garlic, minced
    Salt and pepper


  • 1 cup wild rice, uncooked
    1 lb ground pork
    1 onion, chopped
    2 carrots, chopped
    2 cups cabbage or kale, shredded
    2 cloves garlic, minced
    Salt and pepper

  • Cutting board
    Knife
    Pot for rice
    Skillet
    Baking dish


Serving Sizes

Instructions

1. Par boil wild rice, about 30 minutes (will cook the rest of the way in the oven).
2. Brown ground meat with onion, garlic, carrot, and cabbage/kale.
3. Mix drained meat and rice in baking dish.

4. Bake at 350°F for 20 minutes in a greased baking dish until heated through.
