Dumpling for Soup

Wheat flour

Baking powder

Salt

Water or broth

Oil or butter

Ingredients

Serving Sizes

  • 1 cup whole wheat flour

    2 tsp baling powder

    ½ tsp salt

    ½ cup water or broth

    1 tbsp oil or butter (optional)

  • Large bowl

    Measuring cups and spoons

    Spoon

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder and salt.

  2. Stir in water/milk/broth (and oil or butter if using) until dough is soft.

  3. Drop spoonful of dough right into the gently simmering soup.

  4. Cover, cook for 10-12 minutes until dumplings are puffed and cooked through.

  5. To keep them puffy, do not lift the lid while they are cooking. Enjoy!
