Pico de Gallo (salsa fresca)

Tomato

Bell pepper

Cayenne pepper

Cilantro (herb)

Lime or vinegar

Salt to taste

Ingredients

Serving Sizes

  • 2 medium tomatoes (or 1 cup cherry, chopped)

    ½ small onion, finely diced

    ½ red pepper (optional)

    ¼ cup cilantro, chopped

    1 cayenne pepper, minced (or a pinch for heat)

    Juice of ½ lime (or splash of vinegar)

    Salt to taste

  • Large bowl

    Cutting board

    Knife

Instructions

  1. Combine chopped tomatoes, onion, pepper, and cilantro in a bowl.

  2. Add cayenne, lime/vinegar, and salt.

  3. Stir and let sit for 10 minutes before serving.

  4. Enjoy!!
