Stew beef (or beans) — 1/2 cup (3–4 oz meat, or 1 cup beans)
Potatoes — 1 cup chopped
Onion — 1/4 cup chopped
Garlic — 1 clove minced
Tomato (diced) — 1/2 cup
Cabbage — 1/2 cup chopped
Beets — 1/2 cup diced
Herb blend — 1 tsp
Oil — 1 tsp
Water/broth — 2 cups

Stew beef — 1 lb. (or 2 cups cooked beans for vegetarian)
Potatoes — 2 cups chopped
Onion — 1/2 cup chopped
Garlic — 2 cloves minced
Tomato (diced) — 1 cup
Cabbage — 1 cup chopped
Beets — 1 cup cubed
Herb blend — 2 tsp
Oil — 2 tsp
Water — 4 cups

Large pot with a lid
Large spoon/ladle
Instructions
Chop all the veggies.
Heat oil in pot to medium
Start with onions and garlic, cook until tender
Add stew meat and seasonings, cool through
Toss the remaining veggies in and cover with water or broth.
Bring to a boil, then cover, turn stove to simmer.
Cook for 45 minutes, until everything is tender, stirring once and a while.
