Meal Kit Monday: Baked Lentil Casserole with Tofu

Every week, a partially prepared meal-kit, portioned for your family, and snacks for each child will be delivered to your door or alternate location of your choice. We are currently serving the Hillside neighborhood and up to 30th Ave E and neighborhoods close to UMD

Our goals:

  • Keep your time to cook a family meal to approximately 30 minutes

  • Increase families’ willingness to prepare and consume healthy meals (including new meals)

  • Increase families’ awareness of nutrition and health benefits of healthy meals

  • Increase families’ desire to repeat the meals on their own and motivate children to try healthy meals

Return Packaging Policy: We use mason jars and crates as much as possible reducing plastic and other packaging waste. However, environmentally friendly reusable packaging is expensive. We expect our customers to cooperate by returning all jars, lids and the crate each week. It is OK if you are not able to clean the jars and lids. Returns are more important whether the jars are clean or not.

Evening on the Freedom Farm

DCWC Nourish is hosting a fun evening at the Freedom Farm (500 E 10th St., 55805). The event is children friendly with activities such as face painting, rock painting, building a collective art mural, and a few games. We will have food, beverages and more importantly two raffles - for kids toys and kitchen equipment. DCWC has partnered with Freedom Farms to grow food. You might be able to see some early harvest. We hope that the families will get to know each other and expand their circles of connections.

You can direct any questions to sonja@duluthcenterforwomenandchuldren.org or text us (218) 249-1644
